Our Philosophy

It is believed that caring, integrity, maintaining the dignity and privacy of patients, and providing service with social justice and altruism are the core values of nursing profession. With these values, Choithram College of Nursing prepares professional nurses for an Evidence-Based Practice at the basic and advanced levels. The nursing programs are conducted in an environment which is conducive to the intellectual, moral, spiritual and psychosocial development of the students.

With a belief that Nursing involves management of healthcare of individuals, families, communities and populations, we strive for promoting excellence in all that we do and teach. We mould the students into nurses of tomorrow who can enact multifaceted roles and promote optimal health in populations..

They are tuned to respond efficiently to the diverse and changing needs of the society in the local and global communities. Nurses are prepared to provide caring interventions directed for assisting the people to attain holistic health. The Baccalaureate Nursing education encourages lifelong enquiry for professional development. At the master’s and doctoral levels we try to create an intellectually challenging environment where an all-round development of students with special emphasis on technical, cultural and spiritual growth takes place.

We believe in developing the student’s capacity to their greatest potential through excellent knowledge, efficient skills and appropriate attitudes that are the hallmarks of this profession and help the students to be effective change agents in the dynamics of social evolvements.
